Hey patcon,
I'm the invited demos chair for the upcoming ICT for Sustainability (ICT4S) conference, which will run from May 14-18 at the University of Toronto. The conference highlights cutting-edge research and development in sustainability-focused technology, and brings together researchers in ICT for Sustainability with government and industry representatives, including decision-makers with an interest in using ICT for sustainability, researchers focusing on ICT effects on sustainability, and developers of sustainable ICT systems or applications.
I am currently reaching out to a handful of groups that share some aspect of our mandate, and I'd like to invite Civic Tech to present at an afternoon demos session we'll be holding on Wednesday, May 16th. The session will take place from 2-4pm at Autodesk's MaRS Lightbox facility. Would you be interested in taking part on behalf of the group? Presentations will be relatively informal - most likely lightning talks with a table setup, depending on the number of participants.
Let me know if you're interested, or whether there is anyone who would be. (Dawn suggested that you'd be the ideal person to connect with.)
Best,
Gabby
